NBPoC, when Black people tell you to pass a piece on to a Black writer - do. There is no allyship, no basic level of integrity as a writer in creating a piece like this. You are feeding the cycle of harm, @BritishVogue this never should have been commissioned.

So the writer didn’t respond to my email that expressed she should pass the commission onto a Black writer and went ahead and wrote the piece herself. I’m not even surprised.

Who among you does *not* have a reference manager (e.g., Endnote, Bibtex, Zotero etc) but just compiles your references manually for each thing you write?

Robin DiAngelo might be the pinnacle of white saviorism. Exploiting the knowledge she’s gained from Black, Indigenous and POC to look like the “good white person”. Only to make MILLIONS off of holding white people accountable (what y’all are supposed to do for free).

Catch us over @SideGallery’s IG before the end of our hugely fun #takeover. We’ve been sharing some gorgeous works by Carla Williams, Awol Erizku, Émilie Régnier, Mimi Cherono Ng’ok and maaaaaany more. Follow 👉🏽 instagram.com/amber_sidegall… & instagram.com/explore/tags/l…
