The #SaveSheffTrees campaign won hearts & minds; utilising the ❤️ of the community, & true collaboration to achieve a shared goal.

I’m now on @bluesky 🦋 too but I won’t be leaving X (formerly Twitter). Elon Musk may own X but he doesn’t own us - & it’s what WE make it. Many intelligent discussions remain on here & the vulnerable often cannot keep up with all the various new social platforms.💔🦋

The Doctors family are deeply saddened to hear of Timothy West’s passing. His final on-screen appearance in today’s Doctors episode is a moving reminder of his incredible talent, and it was an honour to have him join us. We send heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

True love is given - it’s not earned. ❤️

It’s shocking that @BBCOne is axing the excellent daytime drama, after 20+yrs, ‘Doctors’. @BBCDoctors We lose it this Dec 2024. Apparently, it’s cost. It’s actually doing a public service! One of its best tx. For what it’s worth, pls do sign the petition: chng.it/GZkGqGsW6Z

Today is #DisabilityPayGap day. The day when Disabled workers stop getting paid for the rest of the year. Yet, life costs £1,010 more each month for Disabled households than non-disabled households. We are calling on the Government to END the Disability Pay Gap.

We’re planting 1.4 million trees in South Yorkshire; 1 tree for every person who lives here. Thanks to our Olympic and Paralympic athletes, and Oasis Academy for helping us out! And now you can get involved too through our ‘Free Trees for Communities’ programme. 👇👇👇

The mortality impact of being socially disconnected is similar to smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day & greater than obesity & physical inactivity. It is associated with a greater risk of cardiovascular disease, dementia, stroke, depression, anxiety & premature death. @felly500

Work coaches are NOT going into mental health wards. This is a very important victory for collective activism in stopping the slippage into these awful practices. Rhetoric can easily slip into action, as very recent history shows us. Now, to get work coaches away from the DWP.

As the trees lose their leaves the cold weather sets in. Mother Nature is ready to sleep, to rest. Looking after the animals that sleep for the winter. We must not forget that we share the world with the most precious creatures. We are truly blessed 🙏
