Finally, the Group visited the impressive @AfricaCDC, a continental autonomous health agency of @_AfricanUnion, to learn about their work in strengthening the capacity of Member States to respond quickly and effectively to emerging disease threats
The Group visited Gelan Health Centre with @GlobalFund to understand #malaria case management and treatment protocol, outpatient registration, laboratory department functionality, and drug dispensaries. Gelan, on the outskirts of Addis Ababa, is starting to see more malaria cases
The Group visited @AHRI_ETH to discuss their critical work responding to emerging and re-emerging diseases, including #malaria #NTDs #TB, through collaborative health research and innovation. @fgtadesse also updated on the threat of Anopheles stephensi👉 bit.ly/4dLfrGu
And the Group met @FightingMalaria, who updated Members on their extensive work in Ethiopia, including on advancing #podoconiosis prevention and control, and on strengthening the malaria and NTD agenda in Ethiopia, working in collaboration with development partners
