This year, all Civics classes are running a Mock Election, where students cast a ballot in a Mock Presidential Election. They will then compare their Mock Election Results to the Actual Election Results next week!
@LongfellowFCPS had a great showing at the All County Championships - Girls Team placed 4th and the Boys Team was 5th! Congratulations to Grant Dougherty for finishing 6th overall!

Last week, select 8th grade students went to the Fairfax County Courthouse to participate in a mock trial, meet lawyers and judges, and watch real cases.
The Longfellow Cross Country team had their second meet this weekend. Congratulations to all who participated!

Ever wondered how many hours of sleep LMS students typically get on school nights? Well, 7thgrade Math students have gathered statistical data from hundreds of LMS students and will be displaying their findings in the Math hallway for the next couple of weeks. Come check it out!
The after school program is underway, and Maker Space is in the library! Students with curious minds come together to use low or no tech materials to create whatever their imagination inspires!
The 7th grade science students are learning about measurements! If they measure the primary colors and mix them correctly, they'll make a rainbow! 🌈
Our student ambassadors did a great job helping pass out maps and giving directions at this year's Back to School Night!
On Friday, Longfellow's chorus, band, and orchestra programs competed in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Every group received superior ratings! They then celebrated their victories at Hershey Park! Way to go, everyone!
