The Livonia Police Department would like to congratulate Melissa as our October Ring Video Doorbell Winner! Melissa was chosen randomly as this month's winner. The doorbell will allow another camera system to be added to our "Neighbors App" by the Ring community.
We are proud to announce that year-to-date from 2023 to 2024, Livonia has seen an 18% reduction in Part 1 Crimes. Part 1 Crimes are the most serious offenses and includes homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, arson, and larceny/theft.

Our pink patrol car will be on display at Faith and Blue, Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11 AM to 2 PM at Larry Nehasil Memorial Park. At the event, you’ll have the opportunity to sign the pink patrol car in exchange for a donation to the Trinity Health Cancer Center.
"The Hungry Five" of Moslem Shriners hosted their 5th Annual Livonia Police and Fire BBQ at the Livonia Police Department. They provided both breakfast and lunch for police and fire personnel. We would like to say thank you to all who made this event possible.
MDOT will be closing the Newburgh Road Bridge over I-96 today, Friday, September 20 at 8 PM. The bridge will reopen at 5 AM on Monday, September 23. During this closure, eastbound and westbound Schoolcraft will remain open. Learn more at Livonia.gov/359.
Today, we are saddened to learn of the passing of MSP MCO Daniel Kerstetter, who passed away as a result of injuries he sustained during an on-duty crash. LPD sends our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the entire Michigan State Police community.

The Livonia Police Department recently purchased a new traffic crash reconstruction system in order to more efficiently document serious injury traffic crash scenes which will reduce road closure times when officers are investigating serious traffic crashes.
