Airstrikes in Yemen last night killed more than 60 people dead and caused a nationwide internet blackout. The UK government is complicit in these crimes through arming and training the Saudi-led war on Yemen. Arms sales to Saudi Arabia must end now. reuters.com/world/middle-e…

"There are good reasons for legalising assisted dying, even while recognising the fine work being done in palliative care." We can best serve dying people by providing them with both excellent palliative care and the choice of assisted dying.

51,281 people have signed @dignityindying 's open letter to Boris Johnson demanding parliamentary time to fully debate assisted dying. As my MP @BillWigginMP, please join the debate so we can reform the law for dying people. #YesToDignity

On my way to North Shropshire to support @DuncanKer and his incredible campaign team in the current by-election. Duncan is building on his hard work as a councillor in the constituency and wants to rebuild trust in politics after the loss in public confidence in Parliament.

Super excited to have been selected as the Green Party candidate for the North Shropshire by-election. Looking forward to hearing from as many residents as possible over the next few weeks, keep in touch for more news.

.@BorisJohnson even Shell have dropped Cambo - now it’s your move. After talking about your ‘climate leadership’ at COP26 it’s time to show some. You must #StopCambo and all new fossil fuel projects if you are serious about tackling the climate crisis

🎉 @CarolineLucas has secured a parliamentary debate on a wellbeing economy!

🚨Really pleased to have secured a parliamentary debate next week on the #WellbeingEconomy 🚨 Our economic model is the🐘in the room when it comes to what's driving the #ClimateEmergency We need to face up to it - and act @WEAll_Alliance @NEF @ClubOfRome

I like this. Minister in Lords agrees that "it sounds like a good idea" to strike off and consider custodial sentences for Directors of Water Companies who consistently flout environmental rules. How things have shifted after the big public campaign on #sewage @GreenJennyJones

They are horrible, noisy, inefficient 'toys-for-the-boys' but I don't think a blanket ban is the best approach. We need to instill an appropriate mindset, where everybody knows that a hay-rake and an old bag are simply more sensible.

Ban leaf-blowing machines. They are incredibly noisy, spew toxic fumes & mostly ineffective (the wind soon blows them back if they're not bagged immediately). No justification. Just ban them! @GreenJennyJones @PeterCranie @LonGreenParty @Amelia_Womack @GreenPartyMolly

A charming documentary, first broadcast over 40 years ago but more relevant now than ever. Their dreams live on! Summer with the Ruralists youtu.be/MDL_7jqb40E via @YouTube

Another positive step towards the inevitable.

New Zealand's End of Life Choice Act comes into effect today. This is a tremendous victory for human rights. Well done to New Zealand for saying #YesToDignity and granting choice to those who need it most. 👏👏👏👏👏

I agree that Greens stand as good a chance of taking traditionally Tory seats as taking Labour seats - if not better!

Greens came second in Hale (Altrincham), an extremely conservative area that invariably votes Conservative in last local election. YES SECOND beating LibDems and Labour. A triumph there would surely hit national press as in Graham Brady’s constituency.

Mike Abbott Reposted

its NOT just about voting - its about getting people to realise that the ideas and policies of the Greens are in fact widely shared and will be more so as the severity of our predicament here in the UK and across the world becomes more and more obvious

Greens the most liked party according to @YouGov poll in the @theipaper The job now is to turn *liking* into *voting*. Potential is there. #GettingGreensElected @KAITAYLOR @TheGreenParty
