A functioning, solid education system, housing, health, and public transport. That's what a country needs. Fix that, and you're most of the way on the rest of things. Tories keep screaming culture war because they haven't a clue how to do it - don't let them distract you.

This is a welcome step, as are all to prioritise domestic abuse. But only this week reports revealed officers facing allegations of domestic abuse were promoted to roles tackling VAWG. Until institutional misogyny is addressed all efforts will be hampered. theguardian.com/society/2024/s…

So @Nigel_Farage criticises Keir Starmer for blaming the far right riots on the far right 🥴 He then goes on to allude to race being the cause of the problem, and alluding to more violence to come Nigel Farage is a threat to us all. His racism, hate and chaos has no place here

Also spotted by @hopenothate at last night's riot in Sunderland was Martin Hoggarth, previously present at various extreme demos and who has 100+ criminal convictions. In 2021, he was convicted for spitting on a police officer when he had COVID-19. sunderlandecho.com/news/crime/the…

When young people, many of them black, did this in London in 2011 the courts sent them to jail very fast, opening at the weekend to move things quickly. 2,158 people were convicted and 1,800 years were handed out in jail time. Often for petty crimes. Starmer was DPP at the time.

Seen quite a few mullets at the #OlympicGamesParis2024. When did that start making a comeback?

If for one moment, you are a woman who has felt more in fear for your safety tonight, from a man who watched the football - please spread the word.

We know the England team losing the #EURO2024 is the worst outcome for some, for others however it's the reality of waiting for their partner to come home. Football doesn't cause #DomesticAbuse, abusers do. Share our helpline so women know they are not alone 👇🏼👇🏿

Over the last several years the Conservative Party has stepped out of mainstream politics and left that space clear for Labour. Now it’s time for some hard choices to get back to the mainstream or as a party face political failure for much longer.

💚 What an incredible night. Thank you, Brighton Pavilion! And a huge thank you to all the volunteers who have worked so hard to earn every single vote we got. I can’t wait to get to Parliament so I can take your all of your voices with me and hold this new Government to account.

I'm just tweeting now because I've killed all my whatsapp groups with excessive messaging. But Justine Greening on Sky News right now - that's the sort of Tory the Conservative need to get back on track. Not the far right,

Thank goodness for the Green Party - every time Reform get included they have to be as well and lets not forget that the Liberal Democrats only got a similar vote share to those two parties and not overinflate their importance.

So sick of the media calling Reform a new party. They have the same members, candidates, infrastructure and money as Brexit Party, UKIP and all the way back to the Referendum Party in 1994. Rebranded - not a new party. #Election2024UK

This could be the least proportional election in UK history (we're crunching the numbers!!) We need #ProportionalRepresentation. Add your name if you agree! makevotesmatter.org.uk/2024-last-elec…

Oh and finally it's been a great night for the Green Party and the media totally won't reflect that

18 seats to go and have to say that Sky News Election coverage has been a delight. Largely due to the Electoral Dysfunction team. But also Andy Burnham.

Labour have not won, the Conservative Party has lost their right wing votes to Reform and their centrist votes to Lib Dems. Kier Starmer better show some humility about this. Join @MakeVotesMatter as this voting system does not work for 21st Cent. Britain #GeneralElection2024

At last @CarlaDenyer gets a shout. @krishgm queries what a small party can do. But never asks Reform this. Fortunately Denyer has a great answer. #C4BritianDecides
