A weekend with Days of Thunder and The Last Boy Scout made me realize that I miss the early 90's - heroic simplicity, intimate plots with out of this world characters.
Husbands by John Cassavetes might just be his most underrated film, but 50 years later, its truths and messages are more contemporary than ever. Incredible scenes, filled with an honesty about our culture that only Cassavetes could have made.
I rewatched Last Days yesterday - hadn't seen it since 2006. With an extra 14 years of life experience, a family and a business in entertainment; this film is more layered and even better than what I remember.
Just watched Cape Fear for the first time. Not sure what to think of it, but it left a strange impression on me.
