Just over a week to pre-order your books ready for Phil Earle's visit to RBHS on Friday 6th December!
We’re excited to announce that the fantastic @philearle is our next author visit! Phil will be visiting Y9 & Y10, with books available to buy on ParentPay from the wonderful @ebbandflobooks Letters with more information about the visit & Phil’s books are being emailed home.
Our book of the week is the incredibly moving In Memoriam by Alice Winn. An award-winning debut novel, In Memoriam tracks the devastating love story of Gaunt & Ellwood against the backdrop of the horrors of the First World War. (This was Mrs Wilson’s “Book of the Year” for 2023)
Our Remembrance Day reads will remain on display in the library this week to mark this important day of memorial.
It was an absolute treat to host 10 of our 100% attendance students in the Library this morning as part of their reward! Well done, everyone!

Don’t forget to check your school email if you have reserved a book. We have lots of reserves that still haven’t been collected and have been since before half term! If you don’t pick them up, they go on to the next person so make sure you don’t lose your spot on the list!
🌟📚It’s great to be back!📚🌟 The returns was so full today, we had to pile them on top of the box…and that was after Mrs Wilson had emptied a full returns box at break!!!
What a fantastic first half-term we’ve had! The Library reopened; Jennifer Killick visited our Y7 & 8 students; the Land of Literature launched with our KS3 students; & we hosted the first ever Leverhulme Spelling Bee competition. We can’t wait to see what next half-term brings!
