Trees transform streets🌳 Next time you're walking along a tree-lined pavement, think for a moment, about how much of a difference they make.. Let's fill ALL our streets with trees Treesforstreets.org

What a stunning day on the Isle of May, this is better than some of our summer days! Still got Red-breasted Flycatcher, 2 Yellow-browed Warblers and 2 Common Rosefinch lingering on.

Roy Dennis has been watching & monitoring wildlife for over 70 years. We really should be listening to him @DefraGovUK @NaturalEngland @NatResWales

I’ve eaten plums, cooked them, frozen them whole and cooked - to use the glut. Yet there’s more on our trees. BUT there are no WASPs on the over ripe ones for the first time in my living memory. The signals of ecological dangers are more and more evident. We have to change.

Very rare Komodo dragon on the Fife coast this morning. And isn't it good (bad) the way you always find some littered container or bag to pick plastics into. #komododragon #Burntisland @LegoLostAtSea @FCCTrust @NatureScot @ForthEstuary @TLocallyBurntis @KSBScotland #beachclean

RIP the great artist Norman Ackroyd (1938-16.09.24): etcher-magician who conjured weather & light from metal & acid; his work constitutes one of the great visual records of this archipelago’s edges. We travelled together—& I made this programme with him: bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…
