Atlantyku i Arktyce.

Always a big shock when basic research gets into troubles because it doesn't do enough profit @m_gdula @IDEAS_NCBR @piotrsankowski

Deeply concerned about the future of IDEAS NCBR, a pioneering AI research institute & newly approved ELLIS unit. International advisory board members, incl. Aleksander Mądry, have resigned after the sudden and unjustified replacement of its founding director. @donaldtuskEPP

I never think of legumes as being big nectar producers for birds - however the black beans, Castanospermum australe, in #sherwoodarboretum in #brisbane are beloved by the rainbow lorikeets. Australasia is lucky to be home to these specialised nectar feeding parrots.

Almost all sulphur-crested cockatoos are left-footed - these two eating thistle heads (yummy) at #oxleycreekcommon are no exception. Closing in on 18 years of monthly bird counts here.

Cockatoos are the smartest birds in the world. The Palm Cockatoo plays music, does advanced algebra and can speak one language. Surely it should be our #brisbaneolympics #brisbane mascot for 2032? @AnnastaciaMP
