Because it’s not hypocrisy, it’s HIERARCHY.
The reason they are rolling back mandates now is that they're afraid they will lose their emergency powers. We can't let them walk away with their power intact. All emergency powers must be strictly time-limited with ratification by an elected body required to extend them.
