Yesterday I told a school business manager I could save her school £75 Per Week, Per Graduate TA! In 1 academic year that's more than a £14000 saving for just 5 TA's - Wasn't interested in the slightest; just wanted to get on with her day. Would your school like to start saving🤷♂️

I’m not going to rejoice in @GavinWilliamson losing his job, that seems callous. I will look back on his time however, with regret. A profession brought to its knees in desperate need of clear guidance and a plan to move forward, which was the one thing he couldn’t deliver.

Schools tell me that recruiting a Permanent Teacher through me is 'Too Expensive'. A lot of these schools have Long Term Supply Teachers that will cost roughly £40k for just 1 year of teaching! The cost to recruit a Permanent Teacher through me, roughly £6k! Food for thought!?
What does school SLT consider more important - Securing the best possible Teacher or where has that teacher been sourced from - Admin say we are advertising, does this mean SLT are happy to miss out on the best possible Teacher?

As SLT, you usually get a barrage of problems and (understandable) demands. Daily. I don't think people realise just how far a few kind words goes. A lovely member of staff did so this week & it will keep me going through all the 'stuff' we are currently facing for weeks :)
I have just met Grace, a 1st class honours graduate taking the 1st steps in her teaching career looking for a TA role. She is well educated & has a vibrant and caring personality. Made me wonder, What do Primary Leaders/Teachers look for when considering TA's for their school?🤔
So Exactly 10 days into the boy's new school years and I would say they have both been full up with a cold for about ooohhhh, 9.5 of them 🤦♂️
