Absolutely stunning.
Crested tit workshop @PeteWalkden1973 complete, the results are amazing, I wanted this time to include more of the ancient forest floor that is made up of lichen, heather and grasses. This fallen tree stump was perfect and gave me a chance to achieve my goal and many fine images.
Delighted to see Yellow Wagtails have successfully bred on the Upton upon Severn Ham this year. Two fledglings. First time I've seen this on the Ham. Reed Bunting's, Whitethroat's and Sand Martin's also nearby. @WorcsBirding
First sighting of Curlew on the Ham at Upton upon Severn in 2024. They try to breed on the Ham each year. Hoping they are successful this year. @WorcsBirding
Dismal record shot of one of the two adult sp Med gulls at the Upton upon Severn gull roost tonight. Numbers 5-6k. @WorcsBirding
Everyone loves a Waxwing. 58 showing well opposite Green Dragon pub, Guarlford eating Mistletoe berries. @WorcsBirding
I'm missing the sounds of Spring. Here is a Song Thrush recorded at RSPB Arne last Spring to lift the soul.
Juvenile Common Scoter on North Pit, North end #Ripplepits. Digiscoped with mobile in poor light from distance. Sorry excuse for record shot. Thanks @AndyWarr3 for original report. @WorcsBirding
Juv.Common Scoter still on #Ripplepits North Pit, North end. Thanks to @AndyWarr3 for original spot. Difficult to digiscope. @WorcsBirding
#TiddesleyWood is under threat. Help us to defend wildlife against a development of 300 houses next to this nature reserve. Read our statement and share your views via public consultation 👇 worcswildlifetrust.co.uk/defend-tiddesl… #DefendTiddesley
Searching for Little Gull at 11:15am but no sign at Clifton. Place looks a little different this morning. @WorcsBirding
It's baffling – sacrificing our landscapes, tarnishing the environment, all to optimise conditions for red grouse so people can blast them out of the sky for fun. This isn't the world we want to live in. RT and follow @ProtectTheWild_ if you agree!
Quite a day in Dorset. Finally caught up with the Forster's Tern and earlier a Little Tern at Shipstal Point also Dartford Warbler on Hyde's Heath. Then over to Durlston Country Park for several late Lulworth Skippers. @RSPBArne @BC_Dorset @ukbutterflies
