Interesting few days at Labour Party Conference. It’s vital that we now see the action that matches the words to protect & restore our seas, coastal livelihoods & communities. The NGO community will be crucial in ensuring promises become reality. 🌱🌎🐋🌊✊ @oceana

Got that report to finish? An article to write? A poem to pour out? Even a book to really break the back of? Or just need a creative supportive space in a beautiful location to muse and ponder in? Booking open for next spring’s writing retreat in the Lakes writingretreat.org/rydal-hall-2025

Hang a banner from a motorway gantry and you are going to jail. Dump billions of litres of sewage into the environment for millions of hours and nothing. And no matter what anybody says that is not going to change. Justice? 👇

Both of the actions you see in these photos potentially amount to the offence of ‘public nuisance’. One is punishable with “long, long prison sentences” & the other is rewarded with huge bonuses & billions in profits. Why the disparity? What does this mean for the rule of law?

Used for good and evil, in whose hands? And the owner? I was worried about this when I was approached last year to help with a Starlink project in the Amazon for one of the tribes. I asked why did they need it, was it white saviouring? I declined. theguardian.com/technology/art…

Unpopular with the few. Popular with the many. The government should make the decision to tax the super rich. #WealthTax
