Waterhemp is a beast of a weed. It spreads like crazy, is very prolific and competes like an ogre. On the left is an untreated plot; insane density. This year with the timely rains, PRE herbicides have worked well. Diflufenican (GR 12) on the right is very hot on amaranths

Laudis has been showing excellent activity on some tougher broadleaves and grass escapes only 5 days after application. It’s becoming a very popular post-emerge solution in field, sweet and seed corn. @Bayer4CropsCA #ontag #Laudis
Story is the same regardless of the crop. Start clean stay clean. Not only protects yield but generally easier to control weeds (smaller is easier) & prevent weed seed return.
With the very frequent rain events in 2024, postemergence herbicides in soybean may be delayed. In high density weed environments where no soil-applied herbicide was applied, yield loss can be rapid. Loss of 2 bu/ac if first herbicide is applied when weeds are 2" in height
According to Dr Sikkema, 1 day delay in weed control can cost you $11/ac. One thing I love about #Laudis is how fast it makes weeds go crispy. Very unique for a gr 27. Don’t forget MSO & UAN. @Bayer4CropsCA #ontag
