Analysing data on communication leading up to a suicide attempt. And realising that not speaking about suicidal feelings can be recognised by others as a 'danger sign' which they can look out for.

#suicideresearch Analysing interviews about communication of suicidal thoughts. Lots of expressions of powerlessness to communicate distress. This led to self-silencing (no one will care) or being silenced (I communicated but was ignored). This stuff makes me sad. @phdchat

After a looong wait, I started a new job today @Coram to do adoption social work in @harrow_council So far so good!! I’m excited to go back tomorrow 😃

Being in a lived experienced role, doesn’t make it automatically really easy to share really difficult things. It still takes immense courage, vulnerability & strength & sometimes that can be lost sight of.

Remembering #carolineflack on what would have been her 43rd birthday. I'm doing IMPORTANT research into communication made before a suicide attempt. If you or anyone you know made a suicide attempt between the ages of 16-25 yrs, please message me about taking part in my research.

This is a dear friend, and her husband writes about her death. We all miss her massively, not least her family. My GP wife worked herself to death – something needs to change | GPonline gponline.com/gp-wife-worked…

A reminder that this research needs 4 more participants (male participants prioritised) for important suicide research. Retrospective accounts accepted. Thanks.

Call for all artists, poets, dancers, animators (and others). The co-researchers at @ProsperStudy are looking for collaborators on a creative project documenting their experiences. For more information visit iamlisaward.com/projects/prosp… (please share) @VAMHN @VAWGRN @NinaBurrowes

Men are hugely over-represented in suicide statistics. Please help with this research to understand communication around suicide.

SFCS is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She always demonstrated such strong family values, and our thoughts and prayers are with all her family and loved ones at this sad time.
