📢I have written to my MP @LukePollard to let them know it is #TimeToDeliver💌 on letterbox contact, will you join me? action.pause.org.uk/Timetodeliver/📢

Another fun activity with our @PauseOrg drop in group today! A CIC called Pets and Picasso joined us today for some animal and craft therapy! We loved petting bunnies, tortoises and even a gecko! You really can't underestimate the power of animals to help people to heal. 💚

Spent today baking with a woman working with @PauseOrg A part of my practice I'm learning more about is the importance of promoting joy and happiness amongst all the other adversities the people I support face. And so here is our Easter cake - sprinkled with some joy! 🐥

I've spent the last few weeks supporting a woman through a final hearing and after finishing late last night she gave me a card. After the usual rush of dinner and bedtimes at home, I finally opened it this morning. What a lovely thing to read before I start my day. @PauseOrg

Over the last 5 years of @PauseOrg, I have loved seeing our weekly group develop. We now offer a hot lunch, a timetable of varied activities and have our own space. This week was cricut craft - the next few weeks include a cinema trip, a petting zoo visit and jewellery making! 💚

When I support women to go horseriding, I usually sit close by and try and take lots of photos/films for them to keep but today I was continually hassled by the stable cats. I was able to fight them off and get some footage in the end - very hard to resist though! @PauseOrg

Women that we work with at @PauseOrg LOVE diamond art. It's such a great tool - accessible, relaxing and a great activity for working with women who don't enjoy too much eye contact when talking. These small ones are so great to pull out over a cuppa! 💎

Took a woman I work with at @PauseOrg horseriding today and she came away with a new volunteering job. The best bot was she found her voice and approached them herself, asking if they ever need any help - creating her own opportunities. 💚

Partnership working is so important to us @PauseOrg and our newest collaboration involves donkeys! The Donkey Sanctuary in Ivybridge are delivering weekly donkey therapy sessions to two women working with us! We love trying new and creative ways to help women achieve their goals.

It's unusual in my practice to spend time with women and their children but recently I've been lucky enough to do this twice with women who have completed @PauseOrg and been reunified with children. Feeding the ducks with mother and children today felt so precious and sacred. 🦆

A women I work with @PauseOrg has given me so many cards over our time working together. It's her way of showing gratitude and letting me know she cares.I've always felt very lucky to be appreciated by her. I had a go making one for her today- do you think she will like it? 🦋

This feels like a full circle moment! Being invited back to University of Plymouth (where I studied for my Social Work MA) to teach a lecture to Social Work students about interpersonal and gender based violence. Really enjoyed myself and feel so pleased to have been back!

This weeks Christmas creations with women working with @PauseOrg - Gingerbread men! And now the office smells delicious! 💚

It's the most wonderful time of the year...🎶 Decided to make Jingle Baskets for all the @PauseOrg women I work with this year - blankets, christmas decoration, hot chocolates, cups, ear muffs and face masks! 🎅

Spent the afternoon making salt dough ornaments using baking powder and cornflour with a @PauseOrg woman. We enjoyed it so much that we have plans to make gingerbread ones next week! Connecting over simple activities like this can feel so meaningful. 🎄

Slowly curating the perfect sensory box for @PauseOrg women to use during our work. Inspired by @dr_treisman training recently.

Let's make it clear: living on the streets is not a ‘lifestyle choice’ - it is a sign of failed government policy. No one should be punished for being homeless. Criminalising people for sleeping in tents, and making it an offence for charities to help them, is unacceptable.

The British people are compassionate. We will always support those who are genuinely homeless. But we cannot allow our streets to be taken over by rows of tents occupied by people, many of them from abroad, living on the streets as a lifestyle choice. 1/4

Pumpkin carving with the family today - I hope everyone experiences as much joy as my pumpkin this weekend! 🎃

#NationalAdoptionWeek and today I supported a woman with @PauseOrg to meet the adopters of her child. Weeks of work in preparation with this woman to make it the very best meeting. And it was. It was beautiful and sad and meant the world to her. Honoured to have been involved. 💚
