I hope that @NianticLabs and @playpokemon are collaborating to overcome the roadblocks for fixing these issues. However, if Niantic doesn't have the interest or resources to maintain the competitive integrity of GO, then GO doesn't belong in the competitive circuit.

Adding to recent conversation: PvPoke traffic has been in steady decline over the past year, and I don't think it's a stretch to say it's a pulse check for PvP as a whole. Worlds going into Adventures Abound had a lot of positive momentum but failed to retain players long term.
