“Hn.” The noncommittal grunt was her only acknowledgment of what he said as those magic claws almost turned her to relaxed jelly. “Ahem. I see. Well, maybe I can help finish up!” Straightening to move away, she bestowed a quick smooch, and gingerly rubbed one fuzzy ear.
“Just some light cleaning. Nothing too exciting.” An arm wrapped around her as she leaned closer, the other reaching to give gentle scratches at the back of her head.
Remember: This isn't going to effect only openly trans kids. This creates a legal responsibility for the report of "children who MAY be subject". Any GNC kid is going to fall under that umbrella. Long-haired boys, tomboys, goths; if an adult even suspects ur not cis, ur at risk.
Greg Abbot has officially directed Family and Protective Services to begin investigating all trans children in Texas and prosecuting their parents as child abusers. He has also instructed all teachers, doctors, and caregivers to begin reporting any trans students they see.
How long has it been? Almost a decade. And he can still make her stomach do those weird flips. She’s very good at flips, but these are the type she was never trained on.
