It always warms my heart to see happy children with big, bright, beautiful smiles. There is so much joy in this one photo. The future of our Monarchy is not only secure, it is thriving. โค๏ธ

Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day. C ๐Ÿ“ธ The Prince of Wales, 2024

Another magical sunset at Stonehenge. The ancient stones chart the passage of time in the most spectacular way. ๐Ÿ“ท: Jo Bourne

I sat on this bank earlier listening to the voice of the hills: the swallow of a mountain stream, the twitter of small birds. And I was struck by how much these remote places belong to an older, slower existence and felt so happy that they remain.

This door in Exeter Cathedral dates back to the 14th century - and likely features the oldest "cat flap" in the UK, if not the world

A rather more detailed and longer clip of the performance of the 5-Year-Old Italian piano prodigy Alberto Cartuccia Cingolani, performing Piano Sonata No.16, K.545 by Mozart. Boy is so good that he doesnโ€™t even look at the notes any more ๐ŸŽผ

A very exciting morning at the @britishmuseum! Congratulations to Caroline, Rory and Jon! Thanks for having us @findsorguk

Catherine deserves privacy, just as any one of us do. There is so much else happening in royal circles that can be talked about in the interim. Letโ€™s just give her some space and look forward to the announcement of when she is discharged to continue recuperating at home.

The Abbey bells are ringing to celebrate the birthday of The Princess of Wales. Our bell ringers are ringing 542 changes of Stedman Caters followed by a course of Sgurr Aโ€™Chaorachain Surprise Royal. #HappyBirthdayHRH

"In 2011, the question mark over Kate Middleton was whether a girl of such unexalted origins could successfully evolve into a future queen. Now the only question is how the House of Windsor could survive without her." ~ Tina Brown Happy Birthday to The Princess of Wales ๐Ÿฉท

It sounds like Anne may have used one too many filters on her profile picture. Centuries may come and go, but some things will always stay the same.

#OnThisDay in 1540 Henry VIII & Anne of Cleves were married. Henry was very vocal about how unhappy he was about the marriage; he had only met Anne in person 5 days beforehand, and felt she differed greatly from her portrait

Records dating back as far as the 10th century. This is my idea of pure bliss!

This is the Abbey's muniment room, where our archive is kept. One of the oldest in England, the collection includes records dating back as far as the 10th century. Over the next few days, we'll be sharing some of the treasures from the collection as part of @ExploreArchives week.

I love old buildings, which is a good thing as I spend my days working on them. This is Westhall Church, deep in the Suffolk countryside. With sections dating from 1120, and multiple layers of history added every century, this place is a palimpsest of styles and designs.

If only these beauties could tell us their story!

A while ago I hit a sweet spot. Every time I visited and searched a small area about 3ft x 3ft I would find a bead. Sometimes there were weeks between my visits, but for five visits in a row I came home with a drilled garnet or a small hollow gold bead 1/2
