Oranfe owner of Ife ke?

The aborigines are not likely to be from the same lineage. Oramfe the owner of Ife is the major thing they have in common.

“Mo ni n lo ree dodo Obamakin Yanbi n lolu, omo Oju rabesa!” From this Oriki, it’s evident that Obamakin line are the ones without tribal marks. Prof Bliers classified the artworks into 3 different lines based tribal marks or lack thereof. Need to have another chat with her

Consciousness is what construes inanimate as “being/it is.” Without it, I do not think the examples you listed would operate in real life. Which brings me back to the OP - to which can the “being” be ascribed, creator of the animate with consciousness or the inanimate?

I agree it makes sense for it to be consciousness. But I think it would be limiting if we think it to mean only consciousness. “Wa” itself means “being/it is” And we use it for both animate and inanimate objects. “Omo yin n ko”? “O wa o” “Shey ni mineral tutu” “O wa”

A question: If we focus on Iwa in the context of existence, then what would Iwa be: The earth that Oduduwa supposedly created that was vapid and devoid of life forms? OR The humans and such that Orisa created with consciousness to know they exist (wa)?

Lol

Hello @UNIONBANK_NG check your Direct Messages.

Please quote the ese ifa, e seun.

Lol. Oduduwa reigned more than 2000 yrs ago thus, predates Mohammad & his Islam. Oduduwa was a black man as his name depicts and he was from Oke Ora. His father name is Jeye. All these are stated in Ifa. Yoruba know their history of Ife and their several ancestors to begin with.

God I hate the way people gaslight Yorubas on this app so much.

Call me what so ever, but only Yoruba Religion Law can change this country.

“estimated net worth of 170 billion Dollars” These people and the proclivity for recklessly mouthing statistics and figures. Do you know what 170 billion Dollars is and means? Lol.

I wonder if these men have existing lineages in Ibadan at all - Maye, Labosinde, Singunsin, Aponju-olosun, Aregbesola, Ogidi, and Derinokun.

There was also Owasin & Lukosi.

Segbusin not Singusee. “Balogun” was nonexistent as a title of war or anything in Ife until the late 18th & early 19th century. Segbusin was an Ife war title alongside Maye, Loodi, Lowa Arode, Lowa Aguro, Jagunosin, Akogun, Owa Ejesi & a few others.

You're right, it eventually became household names though, like Maye Okunade
