The first month of January 2021 has come and gone and Resident Photographer Ross Couper has captured some amazing photography in Singita Grumeti, Kruger National Park and Sabi Sand. It has been a great start to the year, and we are excited to share what else 2021 has to offer.

This handsome leopard is the Dumbana male. He has been described as possibly one of the most relaxed leopards in the Singita Kruger National Park concession. He clearly is one of the most photogenic too.

In Dec, the bush is alive with smells, sounds & energy. As the year comes to a close, a new chapter begins as nature starts its journey of newborn life, allowing us to observe & experience growth in our place of miracles. Here are Ross Couper’s last top images of 2020.

The Ntsevu pride takes some time out to bask in the sun at Singita Sabi Sand. It’s a staggering experience to see more than twenty lions in one pride. To be able to observe the interactions, behaviour and play between generations, is simply incredible.

This is our very first sighting of the Hukumuri female and her 4 months old cub here at Singita Sabi Sand. We were also able to identify its sex. Any guesses?

Loved the “incommmmmmming” 💦 #wildlifephotographer

Watch these three elephants have fun while cooling off at a watering hole. Moments like these truly capture nature at its best.

These elegant creatures are the tallest mammals on Earth. Sadly, illegal poaching and destruction of their habitat are the main causes of the decrease in their population. We need to protect them so that these gentle giants can continue to roam free. Happy World Giraffe Day!
