Such an amazing session with @SingleDadSW helping us to think more about food and fuel insecurity - we will be peeling back that wallpaper! #WSWD2024

Tomorrow is #WSWD2024 and @SocialworkWolvs has taken the brave step to get someone actually living in council estate poverty to talk about the gaps in SW frameworks & the possibilities for transformative change

Adult social care needs a better public story if it is ever escape the doom loop of crisis & short term bungs. That means looking beyond news media to reach people via lifestyle media & pop culture. Blogged: makingrightsmakesense.wordpress.com/2024/03/03/lif…

This is going to be just brilliant! Such an important area for our social workers to explore for this World Social Work Day. @SingleDadSW

This World Social Work Day I will be discussing how social work can be a vehicle for transformative change through co-design, developing an understanding of the living experience of poverty and food insecurity in our practice at WolverhamptonCouncil #WSWD2024 @SocialworkWolvs

Difficult but important read. How often we hear 'Safeguarding' and 'Risk' and not 'rights' and 'wishes and feelings' - is it NECESSARY is it PROPORTIONATE? We are often pulled towards the 'safest' option, making decisions in organisational and reputational best interests.
