On May 1, 2024, Deputies from the Metrolink Bureau ROW Team were on board trains 409 & 402 with 48 students from a local high school in Pomona, CA, as they rode to Los Angeles Union Station. The students enjoyed the day in Los Angeles, where they spent time exploring the area.

On January 30th, Deputy Velasco & his partner Tina worked together with the Dept. of Homeland Security on the #Metrolink OC Line. After a long day of keeping riders safe, Tina & Deputy Velasco took a break to rest their paws/feet. If you see us on your train, stop by & say hi!
On Monday, December 4, 2023, Metrolink deputies escorted California State Senator Catherine Blakespear and her staff as they rode Metrolink trains between Union Station and Burbank.
On 11/30/23, deputies conducted a right-of-way cleanup operation near the 57 freeway and Covina Blvd. in the City of San Dimas. These operations ensure people are not trespassing or camping overnight around the train tracks, which are considered private property & very dangerous.
On Friday, October 20, 2023, Metrolink Bureau deputies attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Vista Canyon Metrolink Station in the City of Santa Clarita.
On 10/23/23, LASD's Metrolink Bureau Deputies and DHS Police Officers teamed up for rider safety on the Antelope Valley Line. They rode from Union Station to Lancaster & back. Remember, always report suspicious behavior & call 911 for any emergency. Have a safe & enjoyable ride!
On September 29, 2023, LASD’s Metrolink Bureau Deputies, along with Transit Services Bureau Deputies, took part in the National Hispanic Heritage Month Event held at L.A.’s Union Station.
September is rail safety month, & our deputies have been busy participating in grade crossing operations over the last few weeks. It's important to remember never to stop on train tracks, always obey grade crossing signals/signs, & to be alert when driving or walking near tracks.
I want to let to our community know Deputy Clinkunbroomer left his family tonight to serve our community. He laid everything on the line to serve us. He wore a uniform just like other @LASDHQ deputies wear, driving in a police car, and he was senselessly murdered tonight.
This past weekend marked the annual "Los Angeles Union Station Train Festival 2023". Present were Deputies Velasco & Velez and their K-9 partners Tina & Taboo, who patrolled the Union Station Metrolink tracks and platform during the festival.
When you see the gate or flashing lights, it’s time to put your phone down and look around. Tracks and crossings are dangerous places, on foot or in a vehicle. Never try and beat a train. And cross like your life depends on it – because it does. #RailSafetyMonth
