Newton cadets are the best there is. They are one of the best programs we have for crime prevention and succession planning.

Newton is so fortunate to have an actively engaged Community Police Advisory Board. This is a portion of the think tank behind reducing crime and providing info and resources to the folks living/working there. 💙

Proud of @LAPDNewton officers that shined at LEAAP Shooting Competition. It’s so important to practice the skills that are a primary function of our profession. Skills that we hope to never use, but must prepare for, nonetheless. 🍀

Newton FTO’s always get the important work done, and done well. They don’t just train the new officers, they lead the watch by example and put the good of the watch first. I am immensely proud of them and the work they do daily to keep our division & LA safe. @LAPDNewton

Was a great day in LA. About 50,000 came out to the 7.5 miles dedicated to the CicLAvia route. The route stretched from Echo Park, Chinatown, Little Tokyo and Mariachi Plaza. Families enjoyed a safe place to walk, roll, dance, run & smile on the closed streets thx to DOT and LAPD
