The city is expected to raise at least $50MM in revenue in 2018 due to marijuana sales and has limited the total number of businesses to 1,246 in the city.
In November 2016, the State of California voters approved Proposition 64, legalizing the use of recreational marijuana. @LACity has approved regulations allowing the sale of recreational marijuana including a 700-foot buffer between businesses and community spaces.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what is contributing to the increase in the Los Angeles homelessness population?
The homeless population adjusted for population far exceed the other three cities, however, per capita spending by city gov is about even – with Buenos Aires spending the most per person at $2,587. Additionally, LA has the highest nominal GDP $860.5BN.
