Pls explain reversing the closure of damaging, illegally created tracks in Chiltern-Mount Pilot NP @Steve_Dimo? Dangerous precedent with no natural & cultural values assessment? No management plan amendment? Who's really calling the shots, if not qualfied ecologists & rangers?

I’ve heard that some people are concerned about Reedy Creek. I want to assure the community that Reedy Creek will open shortly - Parks Victoria are improving access roads to the popular camping and prospecting areas that visitors love. 1/2

So, we've joined the exodus. We'll be on both sites for a while before waving goodbye permanently. It's been fun!

Many of these tracks are informal and were illegally created. If you formalise illegal land clearing in a National Park to cater for a small group of people mining an area then what is stopping more illegal clearing?

The question is surely: how do we stay sane in a brutal age of Trump & Gaza & sustained assaults on the environment etc. I think Michael Palin is right. If you find moments of peace, embrace them

It's the anniversary of the greatest diary entry of all time, from Michael Palin. 13 November 1977.

Everybody sing along with me: "We're doomed, We're doomed,We're doomed, we're doomed, doo dah doo dah We're doomed,We're doomed,We're doomed,We're doomed,We're doomed all the doo dah day 🎶🎶"

Wow, China has almost perfected 4 legged robots. Deep Robotics, a Hangzhou-based startup, just started commercial sales of the X30 robot dog:

Donated. Please do the same if you are able. Kon and his awesome team do amazing work supporting people seeking asylum and advocating for humanity and compassion in Australia’s migration system.

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre @ASRC1 was robbed again last night. That’s twice in two days. I’m trying my best to still hold onto my compassion. What matters is everyone is safe, everything else can be replaced.
