My last thread predicted an increase in SSW sinkers in the next few years. This thread will be about how to throw one and physically how this effect is achieved in the context of fastballs.
So proud of this kid - While I should be thankful for him catching hundreds of my pens, I am more thankful for how caring and considerate he is as a friend. Too many pictures to choose from but him “interning” so we could hit together nightly and his best friend Zeke stood out!
This is a post I’ve dreaded…. but it’s time. The last 3+ years have been difficult within my playing career, as I have fought consistent nerve issues since my head injury in ‘21. I find more joy in helping others vs. helping myself, and it’s time to do that full-time now.

Reason #2392 to not obsess over fastball quality. Recently DFA'd Colin Selby is an example of chasing after FB shape leading to diminished secondary quality. Take a peak at Selby's "stuff". It's blatantly clear that fastballs (any) are his worst pitch (despite averaging 97mph)
