“Marvelous technology is at our disposal, and instead of reaching up to new heights, we want to see how far down we can go. How deep into the muck we can immerse ourselves.” - Talk Radio (1988)

Joe Biden a few days ago: “I look forward to leading a smooth transition and peaceful transfer of power. As I told the President-elect, my team is committed to doing everything we can to ensure the incoming administration has what they need.”

Germany's Bild newspaper needs to have a hard, truthful discussion about the choice facing it. Do you stand with the hostage families fighting for a deal that would save their relatives, or with Netanyahu and his radical government? / @amirtibon haaretz.com/israel-news/20…

No matter what one may think of either. Fact is that a government that was already (and clearly) voted out, is making last-minute decisions, risking to leave behind a large-scale war, just before the new government comes in. A normal person’s question will be: Is that even legal?

Pretty sure there only is one ‘Khristo Ayad,’ even though a more standard, Western sounding name would have likely made my life easier in instances in the past. 😃

Periodic reminder that while we may all be awesome, Mark Owen, Owen Jones, and Marc Owen Jones (me) are all different people with similar names.

Hearing #Trump and his incoming team admire and praise this guy these days. I don’t know much about the situation with him in #Argentina, but I do know I found his elaborations quite unsettling. 👇🏼

Listened to this speech just yesterday. To me, it sounded like a very blunt declaration of greed-is-good-empathy-is-bad-predator-capitalism.

The Trump-Putin phone call and Moscow’s denial that it ever happened, may just be a variation, a continuation of this 👇🏼 if in fact it didn’t- The message of ‘peace talks’ would have been widened to mention ‘concessions,’ and Russia is simply answering “Njet.”

Interesting indeed to observe how rhetoric towards the Ukraine conflict is evolving. ‘Peace talks’ is gradually injected, will likely be repeated, and repeated again, until it feels as if this is what was wanted in the first place. Chapeau to those who pointed to this coming.
