The good old trial strip, it’s always good to see the investment that is made on Phosphorus pay off in dry seasons. Only 103mm year to date here.
Research site for 2022 is up and going! Big thanks to the team from @AgXtra for getting it in the ground! Aiming for valuable low rainfall research.@TroyMaitland @AshPilko75 @CQCropProtect @DavKee43 @TimMurphyAg @NickWellsSmith1 @weedtamer @Imtrade @KosterBradley @joshreichstein
Lucky to have the opportunity to showcase our agronomy research site in the past week. Looking at new and old technology for our area in both the cropping and pasture systems! @TroyMaitland @danvaterAGT @KosterBradley @AshPilko75 @MarcCooney1 @RehnFreebairn @hybrids_perform
The young fella got his first look at the Newly released Calibre wheat from @agtbreeding today! He didn’t say but could tell he was impressed 🌱
Got some sheep on our pasture agronomy site this week. 🐑 Plenty FOO here this year, post grazing response will be interesting to watch!
Early Commodus and Spartacus side by side comparison. Commodus showcasing those Compass traits offering great early crop competition and hopefully help shade out some Barley Grass. 💪 @joshreichstein @InterGrain1
Research site is up and running after some much needed recent rains 🌧 Valuable research for cropping and pasture production in our low rainfall environment. Looking at new technology as well as trying to get more from old and existing.
Importance of getting you adjuvant selection correct when using group G spikes! Same tank mix but with four different adjuvants. @TroyMaitland
Been playing around with some herbicide work this summer. This is a good before and after photo of some work I done recently on SLNS control. Very interesting results! @TroyMaitland
Delicious way to end the week, might have to take up photography @DanSchilling89
Had my first look at my attempt of a trial site for 2020. Have to say things are moving a lot quicker and more positively then 2019! 🌱 #keeptheraincoming
First attempt of managing a trial site this year. Great variability between treatments showing up now. 22 treatments over 6 different crops. Just need to add 💦 now and keep the Roos off it!
Same paddock, same spot just 365 days apart... not the best crop around but I’m enjoying the 2019 version much better.
Always good to get out of your backyard and have a look around. Been a great few days seeing what new products will be coming to the market within the next few years. Always need to have the finger on the pulse on what new R&D is being done and how it can benefit our growers
