A good thread on marketing tips

I have little to no real strategy but if you want my advice: • Treat your book like it’s good. You can joke, but no self deprecation. • Formulas are your friend. Sign up for the free version of canva. Make a cute little sign to use/modify for book quotes. Another for reviews

Direct democracy is a terrible idea. Good thing I don't want to live on Mars anyway.

Here's what Elon Musk recommended to govern Mars: “Direct democracy by the people. Laws must be short, as there is trickery in length. Automatic expiration of rules to prevent death by bureaucracy. Any rule can be removed by 40% of people to overcome inertia. Freedom.”

Every single day, sperm whales go to war with the eldritch horrors of the Deep to protect our world.

I have got to figure out a better way to market my books. For some reason, not marketing them at all doesn't seem to be working. 🤔

I'm going to be honest here. I really, really do not like the premise of Wicked. At all. And it's even worse after having read the Oz books. Glinda deserves better!

I need to remind myself of this all the time.

“Is it not excessively ridiculous to seek the good opinion of those whom you would never wish to be like?” - John Chrysostom

Warning for disgusting language and ideas in this video. I'm only sharing it because it's a perfect example of what I was just thinking about: that whether a book is good or bad is an objective fact, not mere opinion. Every book mentioned here is objectively bad.

im sorry i just can’t believe this is where we are

Oh boy! It's Conspiracy Theory Wednesday at work again today, and the leading conspiracy theory involves the Catholic Church covering up UFOs. I'm so excited!* *Not. At all.

I really am my own worst enemy when it comes to writing. I didn't mean for this to turn into a series. Now it's on track to be a 5-book series. 🤦‍♀️
