Walpole wins their second-straight D1 field hockey title with a 2-0 victory over Andover.


Andover takes a timeout with 7:08 left in the game. Walpole still leads 2-0.


End of the third: Walpole 2, Andover 0. Walpole filled the quarter with corners, but Andover's defense remained strong, especially senior goalie Lucy Baker, who made 7 saves in the frame.


Second time tonight that it looked like Walpole had scored but it was waved off. This time it was off the stick of Caitlyn Naughton. Walpole still leads Andover 2-0 in the third quarter.


At the half, Walpole still leads Andover, 2-0.


At the end of the first quarter, Walpole leads Andover, 2-0.


Walpole strikes twice within a minute. The first off a shot from Kate Schneider, and the second off a corner off the stick of Sophia Fruci. Walpole leads Andover, 2-0, in the first quarter.


Walpole and Andover are underway. Walpole had the first corner three minutes into the game, but the shot was high - nearly went through the football uprights.


Uxbridge wins the D4 MIAA field hockey title with a 3-1 victory over Monomoy.


Uxbridge takes a 3-1 lead on Monomoy off the stick of Julianna Casucci yet again. 2:43 remaining in the game.


Junior Samantha Clarke scores with mere seconds left in the third quarter to get Monomoy on the board. Entering the fourth quarter, Uxbridge still has a 2-1 lead.


At the half, Uxbridge leads Monomoy 2-0, in the D4 MIAA field hockey championship.


Uxbridge goes up 2-0 thanks to Casucci's second goal of the day, with a great play set up by Amelia Blood and assisted by Sydney Vanderzicht.


Uxbridge's Julianna Casucci with a wild shot that bounced off the top of the net and in to put the Spartans up 1-0 with 12:37 left in the second quarter.


Monomoy's Ella Reeves with a great block on an Uxbridge corner. Goalie Maddie Swett playing well in net for the Sharks. It's end of the first quarter, and Uxbridge and Monomoy are scoreless.


Monomoy had two penalty corners in a row, but did not convert either.


Uxbridge with their first penalty corner of the day just two minutes into the game. The shot hit the post.

Two and a half months of field hockey later, the day has finally come. It’s the MIAA finals at Worcester State! The top teams in all 4 divisions will face off to determine who will be this year’s state champions. @KatCornetta and I will be here all day for @GlobeSchools
