I was honored to see President Bush during my visit to the United States. I thanked him for his personal support to the people of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq; for liberating Iraq from a brutal dictator, and for backing the democratic process in the country.
The KRI-US relationship has deepened enormously in the last decade. Congressman @RepDonBacon and others have been central to those efforts, and we look forward to doing more together.
I thanked my friend Senator @LindseyGrahamSC for his long-standing support to the Kurdistan Region. Had an engaging discussion on the regional dynamics and shared challenges.
Great to catch up with @SenDuckworth today. I briefed her on challenges facing our region and thanked her for her efforts to protect the people of the Kurdistan Region.
