Looks pretty unlikely as there are wide pavements and no car storage. Probably more greenery than most new builds get too.
If #guernsey police were as efficient at enforcing speeding laws as UK forces they would issue 3000 tickets a year. Instead they do around 100
They need a bicycle 🚴
On the boat and the phone alarm went off an hour early, because it automatically switched to French time passing the Cherbourg peninsula! #FirstWorldProblems
A final day exploring on foot. This time Cardiff Bay
Riding now over so getting in some site seeing at a couple of museums in Cardiff
Final day of Los Lan Cymru with a shorter downhill ride from Merthyr to Cardiff following the Taff trail. Paused at the Aberfan memorial. A tragic event I just about remember as an infant.
Rode back to Brecon then joined the Taff Trail. The section of fire road alongside the Talybont reservoir prompted a rename to the Naff trail, but things improved, ending with a lovely downhill cruise to Merthyr Tydfil.
Some event in Breton prevented us being able to stay there, but we still popped in to the museum to have a look around. Did find a room at the Usk & Railway Inn, so that’s where we are tonight in Sennybridge. Still seeing lots of beautiful Welsh scenery as we slog up the hills.
Just over 60km from Rhayader to Hay on Wye, but felt a lot easier as we followed the river down. Went through Glasbury, which I went to on a school trip 50yrs ago. Still running outdoor activities.
Lovely views in this part of Wales, whichever way you look. A 510m pass followed a little later by a 340m pass on our way to Rhayader on #NCR8
Some lovely scenery along the Mawddach valley followed by a strenuous climb over to Aberllefenni and a descent to Machynlleth.
Caernarfon to Porthmadog today and we arrived in time for an outing on the Ffestiniog railway
Bit of an uphill struggle from Porthmadog to Barmouth. Lots of 20% gradients up and down just to avoid the A road. Lovely views though
Started Lon las cymru properly, going from holyhead to Caernarfon. First day of uninterrupted sunshine too!
The ride across Ynys Mon had every season of weather. Rain, Sun and Hail. Came across this recently restored windmill that was hoping for a bit more breeze
Evening walk to Garth pier Bangor
Friday’s ride to Bangor with some nice views of Conway castle
