New research studies need to enroll more older adults in their trials, as they are often an underrepresented population. Because, let's face it, this is one risk factor most of us will gladly embrace.

Getting older is a risk factor for several cancers. Know the warning signs, know how to prevent some #cancers and lower your risk for others, and know when to get screened. cdc.gov/cancer/index.h…

One of my best bosses ever, @clar_inet_sax, is on the home stretch of a 335-mile bike ride to raise funds for cancer support. She needs just over $500 to hit her goal before she gets home today. Can you help her out? cancersupportcommunity.salsalabs.org/peer_to_peer/p…

Calling, texting or emailing a friend just to say “hello” might seem like an insignificant gesture, but it can have a powerful effect, new research suggests.

I am so proud of the work the education team did on @CancerSupportHQ's Frankly Speaking About Cancer: CAR T Patient & Caregiver Guide, which just won a Grand Award from @ApexAwardsFPE Kudos to my former colleagues & the patients, caregivers, & HCPs who made the piece so stellar.

This week's images from NASA's James Webb Space Telescope reminded me of one of my favorite pieces I wrote for Science NetLinks: the final fly-by of Discovery a decade ago. I used "awed" in that instance, too.

One of the things I enjoyed about science writing for kids is taking research from a journal article intended for high-level readers and distilling it down to the key takeaways that everyone can understand. How we talk about things matters.

Dog breeds differ on average in behavior, but there's actually a lot of variation within breeds. sciencenewsforstudents.org/article/a-dogs…

My former @CancerSupportHQ colleague, @clar_inet_sax, presented our research at @ASCO last week. Black & African American patients living with #MultipleMyeloma shared the major barriers and facilitators to their taking part in #clinicaltrials. #cancerresearch

CSC’s @clar_inet_sax is on-site at @ASCO talking about our patient-centered research on clinical trials and Black patients with multiple #myeloma #mmsm. #ASCO22. See the poster here: cancersupportcommunity.org/sites/default/…

More kudos to my former team. So pleased to see this particular piece honored, since it came directly out of insights and suggestions from Black and African American #MultipleMyeloma patients and caregivers.
