Having your phones out might interfere with the waiters and food runners constantly walking back and forth in front of everyone.

Man shut the fuck up you guys have helped popularize people eating god damn Buffalo Wings and shrimp Caesar salad whatnot in the theater. You’re just as much accountable for the downfall of the movie theater vibe

This is a masterclass in directing. Every tool a director has being put to use brilliantly. Every single choice conspiring to make the scene soar. Performance, writing, cinematography, music, editing. Perfection. Should be studied in every film school. And OMG Donald Sutherland!

It's Nov 22nd, time to watch JFK again. JFK won Oscars for both cinematography and editing, it may play fast and loose with actual facts, but the movie is technically perfect. I love that Donald Sutherland rocks up, delivers a 16 minutes monlogue and steals the entire thing.

I will always be sad about Tony Scott. But the fact that the best movie star of our time was always ready to go is a real bummer too.

i've been enjoying the Denzel interviews - in which he discusses being "bitter" (and an alcoholic) 1999-2014: esquire.com/entertainment/… and in which he calls Tony Scott "my guy" and says "we probably would’ve made two more films by now": thetimes.com/culture/film/a…

Thisnis why the previz pipeline is broken, there is no way Billy Skasgard was doing all of that. The young kids who filmed the reel were given too little money or incentive for anything other than making an awesome show reel for themselves, ol’ Billy Skars never had a chance

Some more early previz action concepts for "Boy Kills World" by Dawid Szatarski, this is some of the early action design for the climactic Shaman showdown, very cool seeing some of the early ideas they had for the fight, including some amazing acrobatics and dynamic camerawork🔥

Great writers have used MFA programs as an easy port in the storm during their development. But I doubt any great writers have come from learning an MFA style. MFA classes are just the shit you have to suffer through so you can do the real work of being left alone for awhile.

This is always what it was going to be used for btw. It’s not some great equalizer. It’s a way for already massively wealthy execs to add a few more mil to their annual bonuses by cutting creative teams entirely & having a machine vomit up the most boring slop imaginable instead

Coca Cola’s annual Christmas commercial has been created with AI this time.

I know this is rage bait but boomers got the best version of everything they ever wanted and broke everything on their way out. The last generation to have an amazing quality of life in America. They got it all and somehow it’s not enough

Oh my god. Honestly one of the nicest celebrities I’ve ever met. I was his assistant for a weekend at a con and he told everybody who stopped by his table that I was gonna be a big director and…this is devastating.

Everyone at Fango is heartbroken to learn of the passing of the great Tony Todd. Gone too soon. Rest well, sir. 🖤
