It's clear that the Ford govt views Indigenous consultation as an inconvenience and not a first step to evaluating a project's viability. Hwy 413 will cut through and pave over treaty lands, the Ford gov has an obligation to consider input from the Indigenous communitiesโฆ
Itโs a horrible video but I finally spotted a Line 5 Eglinton LRV in action! I just wish I could ride the line ๐ข
This is a good visual metaphor for what the Ford government has done to Ontario! @ONPlace4All
Councillor Josh Matlow's motion calling for a report on adding a pedestrian scramble at Yonge & Eglinton CARRIES 24-1. secure.toronto.ca/council/agendaโฆ
If you're taking the car to the SkyDome of all places then you're genuinely a fool. Union Station is right there.
Designated areas for pickup & drop-off of #Swifties going to tonight's concert are at: ๐Front St W between Bathurst & Spadina ๐Bay St between Richmond & Wellington ๐York St between Wellington & Adelaide ๐Queens Quay between Bay & Freeland ๐Lake Shore Blvd at Rees
Itโs a bad sign that Crombie has done basically nothing and still has a negative net impression. Or maybe thatโs the reason for it.
So Mike Schreiner has the least positive impressions of the four party leaders. He's been leader of this party for 15 years! What's the plan here? What are we even doing anymore?
"I'll never stop working for you", says the guy who just took a 19-week break, and is about to take a 2-month Xmas break before calling an early election.
It is so obviously deliberate that while basically the entire video is of him driving, there was NEVER a shot of his massive truck.
Itโs about listening to people. Theyโre sick of traffic, theyโre concerned about their kidsโ safety playing in parks and, most of all, theyโre worried about the high cost of living. ย I get it. Itโs why Iโll never stop listening and why I'll never stop working for you.
The Eglinton LRT stations have started to pop up on Apple Maps. I really hope the line opens up soon!!!
Calling it right now: Brad Bradford is 100% running for the Ontario PCs in the next election. And if he doesnโt and runs for council again, I truly hope there is a progressive alternative to defeat him.
Councillor Brad Bradford's motion to tell the province Council supports restoring Bloor West to four lanes, even if that requires removing bike lanes, FAILS 6-18.
Exclusive from me: Province-led survey suggests higher cycling rates than Ford government numbers: city staff report thestar.com/news/gta/proviโฆ
Hi, I'm Doug Ford. I've spent 7 years promoting driving everywhere and then I act surprised when more cars show up.
Bradford went from being one of the loudest cycling advocates on City Council to now pushing to spend tens of millions of taxpayer dollars to rip them out. What happened, Brad? Is being anti-bike lane part of your 2026 mayoral platform? ๐ค
โIf the committee goes along with the recommendations at the Dec. 3 meeting, it would mean that the Bloor-Danforth bike lanes and the University bike lanes would remain in perpetuity.โ Safer streets, healthy communities. Time to make it happen๐ฒ #BikeTO toronto.com/news-story/105โฆ
What you could have had, America.
"The worst thing about this approach the premier is taking is that it takes away from the solutions ... like, god forbid he should complete the effing Eglinton Crosstown," says Councillor Mike Colle.
Councillor Mike Colle moves to look at installing signs reading "This road congestion and traffic delay is the result of Premier Ford's Bill 212" in places where there's construction work to remove bike lanes.
"This is exhibit A for why Toronto needs a Charter City," says Councillor Jamaal Myers. "Whatever you think of bike lanes, I think we can all agree we don't need Queen's Park telling us how to run our city."
This once again proves that Doug Ford does not care about this city. Bike lanes are a municipal jurisdiction, and the majority of City Council voted against removing them.
Mayor Olivia Chow's motion to oppose Premier Doug Ford's bike lane busting bill, Bill 212, CARRIES 21-4.
This is AWESOME
Councillor Colle's motion to look at installing signs blaming Doug Ford's bill for the traffic caused by removing bike lanes CARRIES 14-11.
