To avoid any problems when publishing your images @helenajambor and I have developed checklists for publishing images and image analysis with @QuarepLimi: nature.com/articles/s4159…

Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C

Thrilled to share Michael's new story published in Cell: We identify a nutrient-regulated phosphoinositide switch that triggers the conversion between motile mTORC1 signaling-active anabolic and static mTORC1 signaling-inactive degradative lysosomes. authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S00…

Manche sterben daran weil medizinische Versorgung fehlt!

I propose this as standard #PostCovid treatment

Why can't I find a doctor who will prescribe "sea air" for my nerves so I can spend a summer in a picturesque costal town in England "for my health" only to be caught up in a local scandal and forced to solve a murder???

Great JournalClub today discussing @RafaelMoliner new paper on psychedelics...of course the cake had to fit the theme :D

All of that by one protein???!!!

In today's @Nature Briefing: a protein that boosts ageing monkeys’ memory, slowed-down time in the early Universe and economic crashes boost globalization. 🧵

The real Quiet Quitting is seeing all the things that are wrong with our profession and deciding it's not your responsibility to do anything to fix any of them.

Learning how to be a good leader should be a mandatory part of academic training! Great thread below and beautiful quotes to keep in mind from @NatureCareers: "It’s a relationship in which we are moved, (...) emotionally, but also moved to do something" nature.com/articles/d4158…

As a professor, pursue the careers of your PhD students and postdocs instead of pursuing your own. I know it may sound strange and even provocative. But in fact it is how it’s supposed to be. Unfortunately, a personal gain is the biggest motivation for many professors. More…

And then life laughs and we get cancer or are fired; or say the wrong thing or declare bankruptcy or get tinnitus or go bipolar. There are around 78 major organs in the body and each one of them can go spectacularly wrong in hugely florid and rapid ways.

Thanks #FENS ! Leaving my first international conference with a head full of exciting ideas and motivation for my PhD :) so great to be part of this community

#FENS warmly congratulates the FENS Travel Grants awardees to the #FRM2023. Thank you all for coming! Early career researchers benefited from a context in which they could develop their career during the Regional Meeting, while also connecting with peers.
