Seth Countryman wraps one of the greatest cross country careers in Anamosa history leading the 10th ranked Raiders to a sensational eighth-place team finish at the class 2A state cross country meet in Fort Dodge. The senior places 41st overall individually posting a time 17:16.8.


Anamosa junior Ava Remley turns in solid class 2A state cross country performance placing 34th overall turning in a time of 20:18.2.


Springville boys place 15th as a team at the class 1A state cross country meet led by a 71st-place individual performance from Josh Skinner turning in a time of 17:43.3.


Springville sophomore Addison Merritt finishes 74th overall at the class 1A girls state cross country championships turning in a time of 21:21.9.

Eighth-ranked Anamosa football team (9-1) will travel to fourth-ranked Van Meter (9-1) for their class 2A state playoff football quarterfinal contest Friday, Nov. 8, with kickoff set for 7 pm.


Eighth-ranked Anamosa football team advances to the class 2A state quarterfinal round for just the second time in program history and first since 2015 with throughly impressive 48-20 rout over No. 10 West Burlington-Notre Dame in a second-round playoff contest at Downing Field.


Austin Scranton explodes 44 yards for another TD as Raiders extend their advantage to 48-20 with 3:33 to play in the game.


Adam Brophy reins in 34-yard Hail Mary pass from Vince Diers for amazing TD giving the Raiders a 41-20 lead.


Austin Scranton TD run extends Anamosa lead to 34-14 with 10:56 to play in the game vs. West Burlington-Notre Dame.
