Going to spend more time with Nestor

I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday. I appreciate their thoughtful feedback - and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance…

Is there any particular reason to assume Biden is competent to be president right now? It's a very difficult job. It's a dangerous world. Extremely high-stakes decisions in Ukraine. He should resign and let Harris serve out the last 2 months. washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/…

It's worth remembering just how rampantly, dishonestly, and cynically identity politics was wielded by the Slotkin wing of the party for years - when it was a useful cudgel to use against Sanders and the working-class movement behind him.

At a post-election DSCC briefing with winning Dem candidates. Elissa Slotkin: “I personally think that identity politics needs to go the way of the dodo.” Dems should take language “not from the faculty lounge, but the assembly line.”

Saw Nick Cave in Paris recently at the Accor Arena and I was really struck by that song Joy where he sings “We’ve all had too much sorrow, now it the time for joy.” I was thinking to myself, yeah that’s about right.

Agreed. Maybe nothing considering how he normally ramps up, but the all time leader in points per minute can’t look like this on offense for much longer without the alarm bells going off. McCain being this good raises the ceiling, but there is no floor if…..

3 games, illness + injury/recovery, so grains of salt -- but most alarming thing w/ Embiid so far is how tentative + uncertain he looks on offense. Unsteady. Mobility issues on D/boards bleeding into offense. Not demanding ball as much. Jumper looks a bit off/more easily…

The death and destruction in Gaza is funded by U.S. taxpayer dollars, which has provided over $18 billion in military aid to Israel. In other words, we are complicit. That is why I am forcing a vote on the floor of the Senate this Wednesday to block additional offensive arms…

Caleb did his job. The team let him down. He’s now officially a Bear.

100% agree with this. Small sample but he does seem like a more natural passer. Maxey catching the ball in stride is one of the main things the Sixers have missed post-harden

The Sixers absolutely must keep McCain in the starting lineup when Maxey returns. And for whatever value there is in declaring one of them the point guard, it should be McCain.

Netflix really needs to get their live stream shit together with the quickness. NFL on Christmas yes, but they also are about to start streaming Raw every week. I hope Netflix is ready for the most annoying feedback ever if they bring that quality of stream on Mondays

Sixers have to start actually winnings games at some point, but…. McCain and Maxey backcourt is basically locked in now. The ceiling has gone way up

One could argue that it would also set a bad precedent to have an attorney general who a US House committee found to be a sex predator in a report that wasn’t released because of fears it’d set a bad precedent.

NEWS from @Reporter_Mia: Speaker Johnson weighs in on whether the Gaetz ethics committee report should be released. "I'm going to strongly request that the Ethics Committee not issue the report because that is not the way we do things in the House, and I think that would be a…

Paid for by the US taxpayer, backed by both political parties.

#Israel’i air strikes just flattened these residential apartment blocks in #Beirut as cars drive by. You can hear shocked screams of passers-by in the street as the missiles hit & the buildings collapse in just seconds. This is the daily reality of life in #Lebanon’s capital now.

As we head into another Trump term achieved by—and certain to feature—the bald-faced denial of objective facts, we should not forget that Joe Biden’s administration adopted and normalized the practice of shamelessly lying when it came to enabling starvation and slaughter in Gaza.

.@StateDeputySpox says the US has not seen "any kind of specific forced displacement" of Palestinians, adding that would "certainly be a red line for us"

I 100% agree

Packers Star Safety Xavier McKinney on DJ Moore: "This dude walked out on his QB.. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. You’re supposed to be the guy and you’re just walking off the field. You’re walking off the field on a rookie quarterback." He isn't buying the injury excuse.

Love this

Tom Thibodeau said there’s “no doubt in my mind” that Derrick Rose is a Hall of Famer. Said he saw the look in opponents’ eyes when matched up against him.

The Gaetz nomination is so off-the-wall that I half believe he's sacrificial so Senate R's will gave an easier time confirming all the other questionable picks, having shown their independence by icing Gaetz.

The war in Gaza has been conducted almost entirely with American weapons and $18 billion in U.S. taxpayer dollars. We cannot continue to be complicit in this war by supplying more military aid and weaponry to the Netanyahu government. Congress must act to block these arms sales.
