I am in awe of the work that you all do, Lui This judgment is a testament to human rights defenders - to your grace, dignity and forbearance. The judgment is a credit to the UK system of government & proves its worth fighting for. From habeas corpus to the HRA, it works.

This is very welcome news of forthright action at last from the Committee of Ministers, and testament to the great collaborative efforts of civil society to get Osman Kavala released.

The Committee of Ministers decides to 'serve its formal notice on Turkey of their intention to commence' infringement proceedings against the state in the event that Osman Kavala is not released before the Committee's 30 Nov. – 2 Dec. 2021 meeting.+ rm.coe.int/CoERMPublicCom…

Cool photo. When I first met Charlie he was a bright young lawyer-with a traditional career ahead. He’d be Partner by now. He trusted himself. He followed his light. He now embodies wellbeing. Law offers opportunities & a good life, but always listen to the real you.

Teaching yoga is pure passion. Love the way students get to play, experiment, and feel great in their bodies. Supporting them in challenge, encouraging, and making the space safe for exploration.

Similar increases in abundance have been shown in other studies - including in the no-take zone off #LamlashBay on #Arran, set up by @ArranCoast In other words, #MPAs - through the spillover effect - are good for fishing, if only the fishers would see it.

In terms of overall abundance, there are 370% more fish to be found within the MPA than in similar areas outside it where bottom-towed fishing are still permitted. The study also showed the range of commercially important fish species outside the MPA rose over the 11-year period.

Law governs every aspect of policing the Channel. In 3 EHRLR 2021 Partasides & Vesel are clear, Patel's plans to push-back are unlikely to be consistent with the UK's international legal obligations & may be non-refoulement. @ukhomeoffice @attorneygeneral theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/s…

A powerful story by @CNN on Biafran self-determination. The Biafran War was described as “Britain’s Shame”. UK continues to fail Biafra. @BorisJohnson supports a referendum & becomes PM. #NnamdiKanu calls for a referendum & is the victim of extraordinary rendition. @FCDOGovUK

"[Leaders] can't afford to ignore calls for separatism...but the crackdowns are creating more support for this movement, ironically." @StephanieBusari explains the growing support for #Biafra independence in #Nigeria. @LyndaKinkade |@RemiAdekoya1

To be clear: what the woman says in the video is errant nonsense. Bell vs Tavistock has nothing to do with Covid vaccinations (it’s about puberty blockers). Parents can consent for their children to be vaccinated and children under 16 can consent if they understand risks/benefits

Extraordinary rendition’s a form of enforced disappearance. Imagine! Without any due process, you’re kidnapped by state agents in one country and sent to another where you’ll almost certainly be persecuted. The whole point of extraordinary rendition is to avoid judicial scrutiny.

The @eu_EEAS with the UK at its heart was supposed to redefine the world order. That EU cd bring about real change - see the Iran deal. If the UK had stayed in the EU, the situation in Afghanistan would be very, very different. Brexit has made the world less safe & less secure.
