Today my book "High Drama" gets officially released. I'm honored by the kind messages from followers. Hope people enjoy the read (or audio listen). It was an honor to interview legends and put their stories into a narrative: amazon.com/High-Drama-Ame… @TriumphBooks @HighBridgeAudio

I like that the auto-generated subtitles for the Wujiang speed finals misinterpreted the phrase “Tomoa Skip” as “Tomato Escape.” Whichever climber creates the next big beta innovation in speed climbing should definitely name the new sequence “The Tomato Escape.”

"Comp climbing is a mature and healthy sport. The format and the production value of the live-stream broadcasts are at a really high level. The setting and the hold shapes and styles are...unique and distinct masterpieces unto themselves. Dynamic, outrageous, and fun to watch!"

Swiss climber and two-time world champion Susi Good ruled the competition scene in the early 1990s…then she suddenly walked away. What happened? @John_Burgman tells the story of the country's unsung competition climbing heroine. ukclimbing.com/articles/featu…

On this week's @plasticweekly Debrief, we riff on the shocking results from the World Championships...and ponder how an Olympic showdown between Janja Garnbret and Ai Mori will play out. Featuring all-star guests @natalie_a_berry and @MeaganMartin89 youtu.be/7VvnhfDEJzo

What have been the biggest surprises of the World Cup season? Is Sorato Anraku climbing’s “next big thing?” Aside from Janja, is Vita Lukan the best Slovenian climber? Plus, which team has the best uniforms? All that on this week's @plasticweekly Debrief. youtu.be/xDEZpDrGPGI

The fact that Janja Garnbret was issued a parking ticket in the midst of winning double gold medals at the Innsbruck World Cup last weekend is a charming anecdote—yeah, yeah, all-time great, living legend, etc. etc…you still gotta pay the meter.

Where do Janja's double wins in Innsbruck rank, in terms of her many feats? (Was that her best performance ever?) Plus, is it unfair if some boulder moves are out of reach…or is that just part of the sport? All that and more on the @plasticweekly Debrief youtu.be/VoGvZQdzOe8

The Salt Lake World Cup is over, but there was a lot to recap on this week’s episode of The Debrief: A crucial win in the women's division, a new rivalry in the men’s division. Plus, a look at the upcoming battle between Natalia and Janja. Here's the link: youtu.be/-iMbxRBKWIA

@MeaganMartin89 joined us this week to talk about Natalia’s return to gold, expectations for Fanny Gibert, plus opinions on commentary duos, judging mishaps, and bees :) youtu.be/-iMbxRBKWIA

Considering that chatter about a Janja Garnbret vs. Natalia Grossman rematch started before the livestream of the Salt Lake City World Cup even went off the air, I’d say the upcoming Prague World Cup (June 2-4) is among the most highly anticipated bouldering competitions ever.

Which woman is gonna win in the @ifsclimbing SLC Boulder World Cup? Doesn’t matter - here’s why each win would be huge. #ifsc

In case you were wondering about Janja Garnbret’s climbing fitness as her return to World Cups looms: She won Slovenia’s Lead Nationals this evening by topping the finals route under the lights! It was her first comp since fracturing a toe in February. I mean, what a statement!

Fun debate: Aleksandra Miroslaw has been undefeated at World Cups since 2019, won World Championships, and set a world record 7 times. Janja Garnbret has won 37 World Cup golds, swept a boulder season, and earned Olympic gold. Who has the more impressive comp climbing resume?

Can Miho Nonaka continue to turn back the clock? Are we witnessing the World Cup rise of Annie Sanders? Will Janja be the same Janja that we last saw (a season and a half ago)? All that and more in this week’s episode of the @plasticweekly Debrief.

WATCH: Should rain kick Seoul off the calendar? How are Miho and Mejdi flipping storylines on their heads? And how must Kiromal feel missing speed finals on the day he was expected to break 5sec? youtube.com/watch?v=m-f10k…

Brooke Raboutou stole the show at last weekend’s World Cup…and proved she is among the best dual-discipline specialists. Janja Garnbret’s absence continues to be a captivating storyline. And Team France has serious depth. All that and more in this week's @plasticweekly Debrief!

Great reporting by @MichelleBruton Let’s get some comp climbers of Tony Hawk's generation on the World Cup comeback trail too: François Legrand, Yuji Hirayama, Muriel Sarkany…Sharma? It'd be a fun way to bridge climbing's nascent World Cup era with the modern World Cup scene.

When @tonyhawk retired from @XGames competition in 2003, a generation grew up thinking they'd never get to see him skate competitively. Now, at 54, he's preparing for his second X Games in three years, thanks in part to wellness tech forbes.com/sites/michelle…

Before the first #climbing World Cup of 2023 gets underway, here’s @plasticweekly’s awards for the climbers who shined brightest in 2022: Rookie of the Year, Breakout Star, Male Competitor of the Year, & Female Competitor of the Year. (2023 will be wild!) youtu.be/h8mOP8evPmk

The first climbing World Cup of the 2023 season takes place in about two weeks, but reports out of Slovenia are that Janja Garnbret won’t return to competition until the World Cup in Prague…early June. siol.net/sportal/drugi-…
