Aug. 14, 1968: Charles Bronfman stepped up with the money to get Montreal's franchise approved by the NL before it was lost to Buffalo. There were some problems getting money together to pay the franchise fee. Charles was the saviour. Jarry Park was also okayed as a ballpark.
