Great Job @RepCarrie !!!
A big thank you to everyone in attendance at today’s press event on the passage of the Early Detection and Diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease or Related Disorder Act. @RepCarrie @UPMC @AHNtoday Presbyterian SeniorCare
Our leadership has called & told @CoffeeTreePgh this does not fly in western PA. We’re ready to take action & will have all of our elected allies standing with us. This is a union town & we stick together. We got your back Liam & the whole @coffeetreeunion Bring it on.
It’s a beautiful gray day in Western PA.... Fuck Your Excuses and GO VOTE!
A record amount of frustrated Americans have quit their job in the last year. Thankfully, we can help. Our union's apprenticeship program provides opportunities for all that can positively transform lives. Come build the future with us.
Thank you @GoIUPAT & @dc57iupat for inviting me to speak about my support for unions in Allegheny County, PA, and across the nation. The middle class built America and unions built the middle class. We need to do everything we can to make sure every American can join a union.
When we're united, organized and determined, we win. @dc57iupat is leading the way to work across political differences to ensure our priorities and our trades are put front and center in Western Pennsylvania.

The group of people that steals the most from Americans each year is employers. Wage theft is so pervasive in our country that it’s costing workers at least $16 billion a year.
The alliance we've formed around our PRO Act campaign bucks long-held wisdom and has brought the climate movement and labor movement together. We are combining our strength to make sure green jobs are good-paying union jobs. newrepublic.com/article/161653…
"We have to take the fight for the PRO Act outside the halls of Congress. We have to take it to Congressional districts, we have to take it to the states & our communities. This fight is the one that's going to change things for the working class in this country." -@Jimmy_iupat
Employers are charged with violating the law in over 40% of all union organizing campaigns, but they know with how weak our current labor laws are, they won’t face any significant penalties or real consequences for doing so. This is why we need the PRO Act.
The building trades apprenticeship program has more apprentices than the 10 largest public universities in the US have combined. Our apprenticeship program is self-funded by workers, for workers. Union members fund a system that provides a world class education, free of charge.
Right-to-work originated in the 1940s as a way to maintain Jim Crow in the South. By passing the PRO Act, we could override right-to-work laws all across the country all at once. Let’s put right-to-work for less into the dustbin of history where it belongs once and for all.
📜 The PRO Act was recently reintroduced and has 200 cosponsors in the House 📜 Let's do everything we can to get it passed in the House so we can continue onwards with our fight in the Senate and get it on President Biden's desk!
We are so proud to have the support of @afa_cwa in the fight to pass the PRO Act. AFA has time and again shown us the power and true potential of the labor movement. If we stick together, as organized workers across industries, there’s nothing we cannot do.
"I feel I'm fulfilling my purpose here on Earth. Showing people who come from where I come from, and look how I look, that there's an alternative route." -Steven Abram, Second Year Industrial Painting Apprentice. ow.ly/7Pjc50DjQ3I
BREAKING: 21 train cars of merchandise turned back at Hunts Point Market strike line. “The locomotive engineer said, ‘we’re @Teamsters too,’ turned the freight car around, and headed back to Ohio.” UNION SOLIDARITY ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏻 #1u #HuntsPointStrike
The member mobilization campaign our union led this cycle was the largest and most robust in the IUPAT’s history. We delivered results and won in 90% of our top tiered states.
Our District Council @dc57iupat has been working tirelessly for months to flip Pennsylvania’s 16th district by electing union teacher @kristy4congress Let’s finish strong and make sure this district has a representative that understands the importance of organized labor!
Our union is only as strong as our least active members – It’s on all of us to stand together and build strength in numbers. We are our union.
The essence of unionism is that nobody is alone. We’re all in this together. We become stronger when we’re in solidarity with one another. Let’s remember that as tens of millions of dollars in political ads are spent trying to pit workers against each other.
