Current GCSE exam unreliability 1. Impacts on students & their futures 2.Impacts on HoDs stress levels, the very people schools are desperate to keep in a retention crisis 3. Involves a vast amount of admin for HoDs, reviewing scripts, writing reports for SLT etc Not acceptable.

Word of the day is ‘kuchisabishii’, from Japanese: boredom eating, or the making of frequent visits to the fridge in the hope of finding something new to munch on. Its literal translation is ‘lonely mouth’.

please know that when you tell me you "loved a kind of spark" & that it "taught you so much", but go on to say that people like Miss Murphy don't exist and "that would never happen", the 11 year old in me dies. she's not a commentary on teaching. she's a commentary on ableism.

"hey, that 'diverse' selection for your classroom/library/shortlist has no fun, story-driven disability rep in it at all--" she begins to type, then stops because, ultimately, they know, they just don't care. many kids are living with a disability. act like it. acknowledge it.
