What better Mother's Day gift than a story of humanity's first food? Especially if your mother figure nurtured you with milk, of any kind. This is not just about breastfeeding, it is judgement-free & explores bottle-feeding, love and caring. #MothersDay #MothersDayGiftIdeas

@JoannaWolfarth and her wonderful story "Milk" 🤱 A raw and brave picture of the experience of becoming a mum and the conflicts we face in the journey. Thank you so much for your courage and for sharing your story 🤍🐄

I'm so excited for my brilliant agent's next adventures! I couldn't have asked for a better intro to the world of publishing. xx

Literary agent @jounwin is leaving publishing, saying "I've sadly had to acknowledge that you can’t do everything, and there is so much I want to do" bookbrunch.co.uk/page/article-d… (£)

I did History of Art & Philosophy. I'm now a lecturer and published author, who's had a wildly varied and exciting career/ life and has always earned enough. Recently wrote a report that dispels the myth that STEM grads out earn Arts/Hums -Sunak should read it.

Hands up who took a 'low value degree' & wouldn't be where you are without it. Hands up who thinks EVERY young person should have the opportunity to do the same. Hands up who thinks higher education shouldn't be reduced to 'produces high earners'. theguardian.com/education/2023…

There's ample evidence to refute Sunak's claim of ;ow-value' degrees, but here are a handful of reasons why arts and humanities are so vital: Embracing the Real open.substack.com/pub/joannawolf…

Always fun to get the chance to delve into what makes us uncomfortable or squeamish.

Interesting facts from the history of breastfeeding. Thank you to @JoannaWolfarth for enlightening me!
