Only one month to go 👇
One month until publication day. Beyond Boundaries provides a model for Trust SEND Leadership with case studies of great practice. Huge thanks to our brilliant contributors & the kind reviews. @NataliePacker and I hope colleagues will find it useful. amzn.eu/d/3d5WWiB
How to manage your emotions
I have long been of the opinion that the last two weeks of the summer term for school leaders feel like violently re-entering the Earth’s atmosphere: holding on for dear life and hoping you land in one piece.
#LeadershipMatters It’s the acts of caring, kindness and support (associated with these words) that move leaders in the direction of “good” to “great”!
Happy International Day of Play! Very excited by the buzz of anticipation @combe_down this morning, as parents delivered lots of loose parts. Play your hearts out everyone! @OPAL_CIC #internationaldayofplay
Can anyone help? Hi, has anyone had Maths as a deep dive? If so, what did they ask you? Thanks in advance.
Revisiting this! Going to start the New Year with this as my focus! (That and training for a half-marathon!)
First day of the holidays spent (with my wonderful Co-Head) delivering these stunning hampers and present bags for some of our very deserving families.
‘I genuinely love my job. I think, as leaders, we need to admit that more and show it more. We owe it to those considering leadership to be honest about the good bits, as well as the bad’: @EducEndowFoundn CEO @BeckyFrancis7 explains how she leads tes.com/magazine/leade…
Noticed recently that Kim Scott has tweaked her term 'Radical Candour' into 'Compassionate Candour' which feels much more like the original meaning. Really important for leaders to embrace this approach if they want to drive improvement.
I have the best Co-Head and husband! Love them and love my job!
Pupils at school do not start on a level playing field. Our research has shown that disadvantaged children are already 11 months behind their peers before they even start school. High quality early education, accessible to all, could minimise this gap ⬇️
It's the summer holidays, which means I have two books to give away. If you'd like to win a copy of The Art and Science of Teaching Primary Reading, all you have to do is **retweet** this tweet. Best of luck!
