Senior Guard @McVayMia1 averaged 5.9 ppg, 3.6 reb & 2.1 ast this season. Mia was recognized as an honorable mention for All State and All Metro. Mia recorded 2 double doubles this season and started all 27 games.

The best advice I can give to young kids is to play as many sports as you can for as long as you can. These kids are specializing at such a young age, and I feel like a huge part of my success has come from playing different sports! ❤️
Volleyball or basketball? Alexis Markowski could've done either in college. She chose hoops and is now a 3-time All-Big Ten honoree. "I love both so much... I'm definitely a basketball player. There's more of a 'I'm going to get after someone' part of basketball."

If your club coach says you must drop other sports and only focus on one sport, know this. Every player I know who played volleyball for the University of Nebraska played multiple sports in high school, and they were better volleyball players because they did.
