Great talk by @Puiyin at #altc22 emphasising that staff working in TEL roles are education specialists not just VLE fixers. Loads of nodding heads in the audience

It was an absolute pleasure to present at the #altc22 conference yesterday with Laurie Wilson. Sharing our experiences of using digital technologies to develop simulated placements for #nursing students. You can view our slides here tinyurl.com/yckrvf4t

With all the commotion over the Women and Equalities report on menopause this week, this key part has been ignored - YOU CAN PAY £18.70 FOR A YEAR'S WORTH OF HRT NOW. (Hmm… strange how the government has kept this quiet.) committees.parliament.uk/committee/328/…

Lucky to work with a great team who helped to make this happen

Our VR simulation day was a success! Nursing students were able to work through a @vrmedicalsim scenario about a patient with dementia using the VR headsets whilst others observed via the laptop and each student was given the opportunity to lead the scenario via the VR headset

Quick walkthrough our first hybrid PGR Conference in the Health Sciences School. Using LCD screens instead of poster boards to enable posters to be presented to people attending both in person and online. It was technically challenging to say the least, but well in the end

Many thanks to the RNDA students for trialing this with us in readiness for our simulated placement weeks. Their feedback was useful and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves 😊

Had a great day yesterday practising for our upcoming placement simulation week using the VR headsets with Oxford Medical Simulation @vrmedicalsim @sheffunimdh
